The seniors had some "Ball"-listic fun today in the great PING PONG CUP TOSS CHALLENGE. Those who weren't competing, stood by to cheer their friends hoping for their top score! Great throw!

Sorry - we weren't teeing off at the golf course.. we actually learnt how to set a tea tray and carry it carefully, trying to walk without spilling. Although there wasn't any hot water involved, the learners took their tasks seriously and not a drop was spilled! Next time, we'll try the real thing.
Hmm.. what's burning? It's definitely not us because we made perfect toast today. The junior class learners had fun learning how to open and close a bread bag and operate the tricky toaster. But it was a unanimous decision... eating the toast was definitely the best part!
Today our learners discovered the creativity of puppets and what a resounding success it was when they made their own hand puppets and later used their puppets to make a puppet show or should I say, conversation central...
Today our learners took part in different timed challenges as teams. It was wonderful to see who could perform under pressure and how seamlessly the groups worked together. Please enjoy these snippets of our Team Building Day :

We don't need it to be National Braai Day to enjoy a good Boerewors Roll. Our day was filled with the delicious braai smell that made the rest of the school jealous and our learners had a ball filled with sugar, spice and everything nice! What a wonderful day it was for everyone and a huge thank you to the Teubes Foundation for the generous donations.

Today our learners tried their hands at working together to figure out problems and solve them as a team. What fun it was to see the laughs and joy. Even seeing the frustrations when they couldn't quite get it was wonderful because it was followed by sheer delight when determination paid off and they got it - it just shows there is always the hope and promise of success no matter how small or big when you put your mind and heart to it.

We all had a chance to practice being a customer today. We went to the school hall, which was set up with different stalls manned by Grade 7 Entrepreneurs. There was everything from PlayStation booth to nails and our personal favorite: SWEETS.
This week is off to a good start, we are diving deep into African culture: getting to know about and try our hand at patterns as well as Ndebele patterns. Look at our work :
This morning, our friends from Grade 4 popped around for a fun filled visit and mingle. Our 3 classrooms were set up with games and craft stations. The kids got stuck in and had such a wonderful time they couldn't believe it when the time was over. Thank for coming over, Friends! See you again soon

Last night we had a most successful Christmas Play. Our Junior Class featured as part of the Choir in the Foundation Phase Nativity. The school hall was packed to the rafters with parents family and friends, all eager to see their little one perform their part in the production. All good things must come to an end. Today was the last day that we will see the smiles, of 4 of our senior learner's, light up the rooms in our Unit. It is with hope and pride that we bid farewell and good luck to our darling leavers. May you see what we see in you, may you remember your value. When you are faced with that new challenge and environment may you face it the way you faced the work we did here: with preparation and perseverance.
