Rumba In The Jungle

 

We are super proud of Simon who participated in the International Dance Festival and came home with two trophies.

"Rumba in the Jungle is an all-inclusive dance festival that allows all dancers irrespective of their affiliation/s with any dance organisation/s to enjoy their rights- the right to associate, the right to choose and the right to express themselves."

This morning was the perfect opportunity to add a little more to our garden. We got our hands dirty and gave some herbs and vegetables a new home. Click through the gallery below to see our hard work.

Working with Clay

 The senior class enjoyed a creative conclusion to their study on sources of water and water scarcity. Here you can see one of the learners giving his full attention to a decorative bird to affix to his pinch-pot bird-bath. We can hardly wait for our works to dry, so that we can paint them with bright colours. Stay tuned for our final product.

A little treat for a hard working horse

 Every Tuesday our junior class gets the opportunity to go for horse therapy at SARDA . On this day , one of our learners brought along a surprise treat for his favorite horse. What a sweet and exciting visit we had! 🐎🥕

Welcome to our little slice of heaven

 Today we welcome a learner on trial. The conversation is flowing and everyone is energized by her sunny spirit, even borrowing some of it! 

How heartwarming it is to see their welcoming smiles and her enthusiasm for the activities and  experiences we offer here at the Unit. Welcome 🌞🌻!

Leave your print campaign

 

The idea of today's fundraiser was to make us all aware of those who attend school daily without shoes. Learners were encouraged to wear civvies or their pyjamas. Funds raised will be donated to the Catholic Institute of Education.

Fruits Of Our Labour

 

It's always so much fun working and taking care of our garden. 

We have a few strawberries that have started to grow. The learners were quite eager to get their hands dirty and water our precious plants.

Game Day

 

It's always so exciting watching our learners participate and being involved in our extra mural activities. Our sportsman showed off his defending skills and the importance of working as a team both on and off the field. We are super proud of our soccer player.

Bride To Be

Our Bride To Be was filled with tears of joy today. A huge thanks to all the parents for your wonderful contribution to making it such a memorable occasion.
