Nothing brings people together like an inter-house athletics day. The battle between the houses, Doran, Welsch, and Liecher to see who privileges on top.

What a cricket match !! 🏏

 Our learner was chosen for the cricket team on Tuesday. He took a wicket and scored a few runs. Congrats to the boys on their win.

Grade 8 intergration

 Grade 8 learners spent some time in our classroom today. They read books to our learners and some worked in groups to complete puzzles.

Matric Valedictory 💫

Today was a very special day for one of our students. She is nearing the end of her career with us. She participated in the Matric Valedictory today, along with her peers. For the first time since the pandemic we were able to have parents on site and in our beautiful chapel. The matriculants received a blessing and then their distinguished ties were put on. It was an absolute goosebumps moment. Congratulations !!

SWIMMING GALA 2022 🏊🏊🏊

The SNU students made a BIG SPLASH at the return of the annual St Joseph's Marist College Swimming Gala. It is with pride and joy, that we report - everyone could not stop smiling, cheering, congratulating all teams alike. At the end of the gala, a certain house was sure to have won, but when we looked at our kids at the end of the day, I would say that there was more than one winner! Everyone was filled with pride and excitement, which I'm sure they took home and shared with their families too.  Well done to ALL 🏆🏆🏆.

Integration has started up again !

The junior class thoroughly enjoyed their integration today. In a session lead by  Teacher Shona, our class met with the Grade 8's. After a session of getting to know each other, some soccer and tennis balls were handed out. Before you knew it, each grade 8 learner organised themselves with a junior class pupil and the games ensued. We will continue to meet every Tuesday until the end of the year. We can already see friendships blossoming and have been so happy to put a name to the faces we pass each day in the corridors.

 Today we all arrived shiny and neat, ready for our school portraits. One of the things which fell away due to the pandemic, has happily returned: The opportunity to capture your beautiful child looking proud, happy, so that some time later we can reflect on how quickly they are growing. A valentine for you and me 💞💝

The 14th of February is a joyous day, if ever you have been at school to enjoy its festivities. For other parts of society, it's a chance to act on a feeling in your heart , but at a school it's the day that everyone is smiling and greeting; being kind and positive- while looking cute in red white or pink. It's the day of appreciation of teachers, mothers, fathers and everyone in between! Our Valentines Day was no different, we had a day full of smiles and well wishing. Each teacher was lucky enough to receive a token of appreciation and love. Happy Valentines day to you too💟💟

Are you PUZZLED?

In math's we take a break from doing written work on a Friday. We get to play around with numbers and mix and match. Our amazing puzzles helps us to add and subtract. We get super amped when we get it right.

Learners are enjoying their time in the art room. We have definitely missed this space and the opportunity to create and design with our art teacher.

 

Spectrum Chef's Academy

Today the staff took turns to visit the Spectrum Chef's Academy in Claremont. It was wonderful to see familiar faces of our past students. They all displayed confidence and a sense of enjoyment in their new environment.
