During "Mentor" period today, one of our senior learners opted to play E Games while others favoured the varying physical options. Sure looks like he had fun!

WOW! The Interact Club came to read to our learners today and it was a truly special experience. Some firm favourites were chosen immediately by some of our girls, bringing smiles and even a few heartfelt tears to some Grade 9 faces. The fact that they want to come join us for more of our fun lesson times was the icing on the cake!
On Thursday 14 August, we rallied our forces for a spectacular day/competition at Vista Nova competing against the home teams and two other schools. We were even extra spoiled by getting to enjoy the playground at the venue. Needless to say the kids had a whale of a time!

Sorry - we weren't teeing off at the golf course.. we actually learnt how to set a tea tray and carry it carefully, trying to walk without spilling. Although there wasn't any hot water involved, the learners took their tasks seriously and not a drop was spilled! Next time, we'll try the real thing.
Hmm.. what's burning? It's definitely not us because we made perfect toast today. The junior class learners had fun learning how to open and close a bread bag and operate the tricky toaster. But it was a unanimous decision... eating the toast was definitely the best part!
Erin, we all wish you a most fabulous birthday and prosperous year. Thank you for our spaghetti party and to our spectacular parents who spoilt us all with treats.

This week brings us the start of music week and we were so lucky to get to watch some dances and vocal performances while we went to the junior school break. They were enjoying the acts so much they almost forgot to eat their lunch.
Our first Sports Hub Session kicked off yesterday. Such troopers to be partaking amidst the very demanding heat. We can't wait to see more fun and sports learning as the term progresses.
After weeks of waiting desperately for SARDA to return, this week's group started us off with a bang with our new learner experiencing his first horse-riding lesson and getting to see all our two-legged and four-legged friends again. We look forward to our second group enjoying their session next week and to many more wonderful and beneficial lessons this term.
I was so proud of my class, who sat and clapped and were so sophisticated through out the event. When it was our turn, everyone cheered and was so proud of all of us. We got the loudest claps and cheers for our awards.
Congratulations on all your hard work and growth throughout this year. You are a remarkable bunch of young men and women. Well Done!
