Let there be music ♯ ♭ ♭

There are few things that cut through barriers as effectively as music. It is a language which every one understands, from the birds in the trees to the shy kid in the back tapping out a 1,2,3.
Today the junior class had their first music lesson for the year, Mrs JP and the kids played around with rhythm and tone. Each child could not resist following along and doing everything Mrs JP asked. It was a fantastic time all around 😎😎😎.

Just keep swimming!

Today we ended off our school day on a joyous note! Nearly every child was in the water, some even swimming laps. It is with excitement and pure happiness that we welcome back Sue Bonnie and her fantastic team of coaches from the Vineyard swimming club. Next week Wednesday, we expect a new addition to her Team; a Special Needs Western Cape division swimmer who is training to become a coach himself. How inspiring and encouraging! Be sure to check back next week to meet Coach Victor of the Westridge swimming district. For now please follow the link to enjoy some pictures of your child, taking like a duck to water 🏊🏊.

PE is back again

We are so happy that Coach Hilton is back again, taking us for Physical Education. Honing our gross and fine motor skills is a very important especially since we are all still growing and learning. Today, the weather was a little cooler, but really no matter the weather we would always be ready for him!

Rules, Rules, Rules

Our first few days we spoke about our classroom and school rules. Our rules are in place to keep us all safe and to make sure that we are part of the Marist family.
