We don't need it to be National Braai Day to enjoy a good Boerewors Roll. Our day was filled with the delicious braai smell that made the rest of the school jealous and our learners had a ball filled with sugar, spice and everything nice! What a wonderful day it was for everyone and a huge thank you to the Teubes Foundation for the generous donations.

Today our learners tried their hands at working together to figure out problems and solve them as a team. What fun it was to see the laughs and joy. Even seeing the frustrations when they couldn't quite get it was wonderful because it was followed by sheer delight when determination paid off and they got it - it just shows there is always the hope and promise of success no matter how small or big when you put your mind and heart to it.

We make use of every opportunity to encourage and develop our learners' strengths and interests. One Senior Learner has shown a strong aptitude for working with computer hardware. Here he is stripping, cleaning and reassembling a computer that was going to be scrapped. With the guidance of his tutor , he is confident in his ability to restore it and set it up in the Junior Class, so that his peers can enjoy the gift of technology in their own classroom.
Today our riders participated in a special showcase arranged by their trainers at SARDA. Families and friends were also invited to see our riders in action. What followed was a heartening display of focus and skill. We were all blown away by the learns' expert handling of the course. Well done and thank you for your never ending care and teaching, our dear SARDA volunteers.

Although we miss our loved ones that have passed away, it is a comforting feeling to know that they are watching over us as Earth Angels. In religion this morning, Shona shared with us, the importance of Earth Angels and we made a special craft in remembrance of each of our own Earth Angels.
It is so nice to see how much care and dedication our senior learners put into their work. One of our learners is also developing his passion for computers and learning all about the importance of software. Whether it is individual or pair/group work, our learners truly give their all to their work.
It takes many hands to build a house but it takes heart to build a home and today our learners put all their love into building Hansel and Gretel's House of Sweets. It was lots of fun to build it but we are looking forward to dismantling them later - in our tummies!
