Teubes Treats

 

We are so fortunate to be apart of the legacy of Tubby Teubes. His association with the St Joseph's Marist College Special Needs spans 26 years (and counting). His son Paul, our favourite uncle ;), continues to carry the torch of his parents history of community developement and upliftment. 

We love you Paul and not only because you treat us to a special outing every term.

We had a wondeful lunch hanging with  Paul at Spur and made some great memories.

We were pleased to welcome a visitor who shared a fun and creative way of teaching children. He used Afrikaans songs to help the kids learn new words, concepts, and skills in an enjoyable way. The children participated enthusiastically by singing along, making the learning experience interactive and memorable.

Thank you for making Friday evening an unforgettable success. 

We could not be prouder of our children, who brought the stage to life and delivered a beautiful message through their wonderful performances. They truly shone like stars.

We were deeply moved by the incredible turnout. Seeing the hall filled to capacity with supportive families brought so much joy to the event. 

The SNU staff would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your continued support and for your incredibly generous and thoughtful gifts.

Mighty Walkers Assemble!

 

The big walk finally arrived and thank goodness for the nice weather that wasn't too hot nor too cold which made up for all the miserable weather of previous years. It was so fun seeing how excited the kids were when they saw us marshalling with our bibs and flags. It was especially fun when we ended up blocking a whole corner of the common to grab that special pic (photo to come). It was a great event with soccer, basketball, netball, concerts and performances and of course hearing that one of our learners won our Mystery Box!  

We won Champagnat!

 

The first of our Champagnat Award winners for the term have finally rolled out! These awards are earned for working hard, being helpful and being kind to those around us... Well done to these learners who exhibited many of these wonderful traits throughout the week. Keep it up!

It's that BIG time of the year...

 

It's the Big Walk on Saturday! Look out for your teachers along the common, we'll be the ones shouting and waving our flags for the intrepid walkers... Thank you for all the contributions so far to our mystery box hamper and looking forward to showing the rest of the school how awesome our parents are and that we are the best classes in the school!
