S Day at St Joseph's Marist College

 Today was a blast! Our school hosted a fundraiser inspired by the coming of spring. Every one was invited to contribute and dress up in something starting with and S. We were so impressed with what the the learners came up with. We saw soccer players, spiders, SA cricket players, super hero's and plenty more!

Day 2: Spring Creations

Learners are focused and determined to complete their art piece - Flowers in a Vase.

Planting our Petunias

 Spring represents new growth. Today we got the opportunity to play a part in the growth of something: a Petunia 💮. We got our hands dirty and planted our individual buds in a cozy new home, right in front of the Unit. Now each of us can visit our little friends and watch as they grow and blossom. The junior class even made some custom flowerbed markers, so that they always remember where their flower sits.

Spring into Action Day 1

 Today marks the beginning of our end of term program named: Spring into Action. As we near the end of the term, the learners will enjoy an alternative and enriching range of activities all under the banner of Spring. Today started with some very special hand print art inspired by Eric Carle's timeless The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Please enjoy the art of this very proud junior class learner.

Rest in peace Sydni

 Sydni was a leaner in Unit in the year 2014. She faced many obstacles, but with her granny on her side she overcame them all. We are in shock and heartbroken to have heard about her passing. She had a gentle and kind soul with so much love to give.

One, two, step

Learning new dance moves can always be a bit tricky at the start, but having a good dance partner makes the new challenge easier and more fun.

Score that Goal

There can never be enough fine motor practice for young developing hands and minds. In this picture our birthday boy can be seen strengthening his tripod grip by playing a class favourite called goal. We tear a page into long strips and challenge ourselves to crumple them up one hand a time. We thoroughly enjoy watching our classmates aim and score.
