Montagne Day - Encounter

On October 28, 1816, newly appointed parish priest St. Marcellin Champagnat was called to see the 17-year-old Jean-Baptiste Montagne. Montagne, a product of years of war and poverty in France, lacked even the most basic knowledge of the Catholic faith. His tragic ignorance deeply affected Marcellin, who vowed to prevent other young people from suffering the same fate. This encounter inspired him to found the Brothers and dedicate himself to providing quality Catholic education for all children, regardless of their circumstances.

 

Fried eggs on the pavement anyone.....?

 

The day that the sun turned up the heat and forgot to tell us... Boy was it hot day? The learners were troopers today trying to concentrate and engage in the demands of the timetable amidst the sizzling temperatures. We almost thought we were going to be able to fry an egg outside during P.E. and some of the staff even moved their vehicles to a cooler spot. We were more than thankful for the new umbrellas to provide us with some shade. 

Brain Break Bonanza

 

Some of our learners are fast finishers and when they finish their work, there are several educational and fun activities for them to engage and interact with whilst waiting for their friends. It is wonderful to see the learners show such active involvement and partaking in their own preferred pursuits.

SARDA COUNTRY CHALLENGE 🐴🐎🏇

Congratulations to our SARDA Riders. Today they completed and navigated a special outdoor course on the grounds at SARDA. Thank you to the wonderful and caring team at SARDA who trained up our riders, set a challenging course and helped each rider to ace their efforts. Well done to all.

Reading together with peers is always more enjoyable! The senior learners engaged with the speed words and encouraged their classmates to read the story aloud. Afterward, they facilitated a discussion by asking questions to deepen understanding and spark conversation.
