Soup Day

Thank you to all our parents for their generous donations of vegetables. Our learners were eager and ready to get things going. We were able to make 2 massive pots of soup and serve it to all our ground staff. Some came for seconds and in no time we had extra visitors.

Happy World Music Day💃💃

Last week of extra mural

 What an action packed term it has been! It is always so wonderful to see SNU learners slotting in with their peers. This term, two of the junior class learners endeavored to start extra-murals. It is so satisfying to see them work alongside their peers and even outshine them! Well done, to these two ,for being brave and trying something new. May this be inspiration to more of us to just 'Give it a go!'.

C DAY 🎉🎉🥳🥳

Today we celebrated C day, a second day in celebration of our patron saint Champagnat. Our learners impressed and went full out! We have cuties, cowboys, construction workers, cooks, coaches and even a conman! How creative and thank you to everyone who made such an effort. Please enjoy these pictures.

Champagnat's Feast Day

 Today marks a very special day at St Jospeh's Marist College. All around the world , at every Marist School, we are celebrating the life and work of Marcellin Champagnat, our patron saint. He is not only our patron saint, but the architect of Marist Schools and the Marist approach to education; which is based on the following tenements:

1. Presence

2. Simplicity

3. The way of Mary

4. Family Spirit

5. Love of work

Three cheers for Marcellin on this special day ! It is with gratitude that we reflect on the special and unique environment which, he has taught us to uphold. Happy Champagnat Day everyone 😄

 Having a quick snack provides important nutrients that your child needs to last until break time. A reminder that healthy snacking is not only important for your child’s physical health, but emotional health as well.

Teaching the concept of time can be very challenging. Since it is such an abstract concept, children need to be given many opportunities to experience it and understand it.

What an amazing way to end off our really awesome table cricket games. We had so much fun fielding, hitting the ball and bowling. Thank you so much coach for teaching us all about table cricket we thoroughly enjoyed it. 

Matric Jackets

 

It's that time of the year when our matriculants receive their jackets. The hype and excitement that goes with it is all the more reason to be proud to be in matric.

 Please enjoy this video showing our Junior Class showcasing their confidence and development in their work at horse therapy. On this day, one of our more timid learners successfully mounted and rode a horse. It was a heart warming session for all of us!

 Friendship

I love my friends, each and every day

I don't know what I would do without them.

To live without them, I don't think there is a way.

No one understands me like them or listens when I a mad.

Not even my parents care the way they do.

They know exactly what to say when I am sad.

My friends--they pick me up and help me out all the time.

And I help them just the same.

We help with whatever is wrong, even if it is at a bad time.

No one else has friends like me, I really am blessed.

All of my best friends, they are above the rest!

Oh the joy of sports 🏓⚽🎾

Thank you to  Coach Hilton, who gave sports class and made our Monday bright and full of energy. His focus on co-ordination and ball skills is starting to show in the confident way which our kids carry out all of his tasks. Thank you Coach for a fun filled Monday!

The work we do at SARDA is something all our learners enjoy to the fullest. It develops motor co-ordination, large muscle groups, self confidence and an appreciation for animals- amongst other things. Please enjoy this video from our session this week.
