SMJC Special Needs Unit Awards Day 2021👏👏

In recognition of our learner's strengths and areas of improvement we have selected the perfect award which celebrates it. We gathered in the spruced up middle classroom and each learner came up in turn to collect their award. Please enjoy all the beautiful pictures from the day.

About Us

St Joseph’s Marist College has a Special Needs Unit(SNU) that caters for learners that are intellectually challenged with a possibility of a comorbid disability. The learners often experience challenges in the following aspects of; reasoning, problem solving, social interaction and emotional immaturity.

We have small classes and a low teacher to student ratio, which helps to maintain a calm environment where our learners are given the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and learn to the best of their ability.

We are committed to recognizing the value of every individual as being unique and believe they have the capacity to learn and to develop to their full potential.
