Getting to know our new Integration Crew

Today the Junior Class had the privilege of meeting our new Integration Crew. This term we will get to know the other half of the Grade 8 class. Once again we all hit it off immediately. Our new friends chatted with us, read to us and even built some puzzles. What a successful session. The junior class greatly looks forward to our next one.

About Us

St Joseph’s Marist College has a Special Needs Unit(SNU) that caters for learners that are intellectually challenged with a possibility of a comorbid disability. The learners often experience challenges in the following aspects of; reasoning, problem solving, social interaction and emotional immaturity.

We have small classes and a low teacher to student ratio, which helps to maintain a calm environment where our learners are given the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and learn to the best of their ability.

We are committed to recognizing the value of every individual as being unique and believe they have the capacity to learn and to develop to their full potential.
