Science at work

It's always wonderful to see a child's face light up at the prospect of doing an experiment. Here is our Senior Class testing the limits of what can float and what will sink.

President's Award Camp

This week, three of our learners ventured out into the wilds of Wortlegat for a stunning two day camp to build credit for the President's Award. Their time was filled with games, hikes, beach views, bonfire chats and a bucket-load of fun. Well done to our victorious campers on completing the hike and for being an inspiration to the rest of our learners!

Can I make you a snack? πŸ˜‹

Food Skills is one of the opportunities on our timetable where Senior learners develop their independence. On this day we practiced preparing a snack. We built up Kitchen confidence by using our spreading skills as well as practicing using different kitchen utensils - electrical and non-electrical.

Practice makes perfect! It also helps when you can eat and drink your hard work πŸ˜‹ .

18 April 1999, St Marcellin is canonized by Pope John Paul II

On April 18 1999,  John Paul II canonized Blessed Marcellin Champagnat as a saint . Saint Marcellin Champagnat worked tirelessly for the Christian education of the youth in France and the protection of their well-being.

The significance of this day is in  the recognition of Fr Marcellin Champagnat as a saint by the Catholic Church. As part of the global Marist community we recognize and celebrate him and his dedication to the education of the youth as well as his commitment to the teachings of the Catholic Church.

His legacy continues to inspire us to work towards the betterment of youth and community.
